Last week we received word nearly 60 million dollars will be available in Pierce County for rental payment and utility assistance, you read that right, utilities too, that’s electric, water/sewer, gas, garbage pickup, fuel oil, and internet. This assistance will aid housing providers and our residents by helping to stabilize our community as we continue to work and live with the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tenants who have sought assistance prior to this are eligible. Those tenants who have stayed current on their rent but have fallen behind on utilities are also eligible.
We have completed the landlord registration necessary to upload documents such as W-9’s and tenant leases. Assistant funds will be sent directly to Spinnaker via check in some cases or direct deposit to eliminate fraud.
Starting March 8th, 2021, we will begin working with and on behalf of our tenants who have outstanding rents and utilities dating back to March 13th, 2020. Here at Spinnaker we have had our finger on the pulse in regard to keeping up with all the updates. We will be working directly with the service providers and have a plan to divide and conquer, insuring our tenants’ applications will be processed quickly by making the time to provide all the necessary documentation to have complete applications as they say the early bird gets the worm!
Here is further evidence that property management is what we do, peace of mind is what we deliver.
